ACADIA NATIONAL PARK

Acadia National Park drew me in with its rugged coastline, quiet forests, and the way the light constantly changed with the Atlantic weather. Photographing there felt less about chasing grand scenes and more about slowing down enough to notice the details, the mist drifting through the pines at sunrise, waves crashing against the granite shoreline, and the calm moments when the ocean seemed completely still. Every turn along the park roads and hiking trails offered something different, and I found myself constantly inspired by the balance between power and tranquillity that exists there.

What I loved most about photographing in Acadia was how connected I felt to the landscape. Whether standing along the cliffs at Thunder Hole, watching the first light hit Cadillac Mountain, or walking the shoreline with my camera in hand, there was a sense of timelessness that stayed with me. The park has a raw, natural beauty that does not need to be exaggerated; it simply asks you to be present. My time there reminded me why I love landscape photography so much: it is not only about capturing a place, but also about capturing the feeling of being there.
